1. General
1.1 Furball Pets Ltd (company number 12794595), trading as Fuzzball, whose registered office is at 2nd Floor, Parkgates, Bury New Road, Prestwich, Manchester, M25 0TL (we, us, our), is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. For the purposes of data protection legislation, we are the data controller responsible for your personal data.
1.2 We process your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), together with any other applicable data protection laws. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.
1.3 This policy was last updated on 15 July 2026 and replaces all previous versions. We may update it from time to time in accordance with section 14 below.
2. Visitors to our website
2.1 We may collect and process personal data about you in the following circumstances:
2.1.1 whenyoucompleteformsonourwebsiteorapp(Site),includingyourname,emailaddressandtelephone number provided when registering to use our Site, asking us to contact you about our goods or services, subscribing to our mailing list, or subscribing to our goods;
2.1.2 when you provide information to us when reporting a problem with our Site, making a complaint or enquiry, or contacting us for any other reason. If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence;
2.1.3 details of your visits to our Site and app, including traffic data, location data, weblogs, the resources you access, and other communication data, whether required for our own billing purposes or otherwise (see section 2.3 on Cookies below); and
2.1.4 whenever you disclose your information to us, or we collect information from you in any other way, through our Site or app.
2.2 IP address. We may collect information about your device, including where available your Internet Protocol (IP) address, for reasons of fraud prevention. We may also collect information about your device's operating system and browser type for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns and does not, on its own, identify any individual.

When you leave our Site, we encourage you to read the privacy notice of every website you visit.
3. Customers
3.1 We collect details such as your name, address, telephone number and other contact details when you order goods from us via our Site. We use this information to process your order and comply with our contractual obligations, including notifying you of dispatch and delivery times and obtaining feedback about the goods.
3.2 We may also collect information about you, your device and your use of our Site via automated means (please refer to our Cookie Policy for more information). This may include:
3.2.1 information about visits to our Site;
3.2.2 IP addresses, unique device identifiers or other information about your device; and 3.2.3 your purchase history and preferences.
3.3 In order to perform our contract with you, we may share personal data with third parties such as payment providers, postal and courier organisations, fulfilment providers and survey services, to deliver the goods you have ordered and obtain feedback about them (see section 8 for the categories of recipients).
3.4 We may advertise your feedback on our website and marketing materials, subject to obtaining your prior consent where necessary.
3.5 We do not store your payment card details. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers (including Shopify Payments and Stripe), who handle card information directly in accordance with applicable security standards.
4. How we use your personal data and our lawful bases
4.1 We will only use your personal data where the law allows us to. Most commonly, we rely on the following lawful bases:
4.1.1 Performance of a contract — to process and fulfil your orders, deliver our subscription service, take payment, arrange deliveries, manage your subscription and respond to your enquiries;
4.1.2 Legal obligation — where processing is necessary for compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation to which we are subject, such as accounting and tax requirements; and
4.1.3 Legitimateinterests—whereprocessingisnecessaryforourlegitimateinterests(orthoseofathirdparty) and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests.
4.2 Where we rely on our legitimate interests, we do so in order to:
4.2.1 provide you with the information or services you requested from us;
4.2.2 allow you to participate in interactive features of our Site when you choose to do so;
4.2.3 ensure that content from our Site is presented in the most effective manner for you and your device; 4.2.4 improve our Site, products and services;
4.2.5 process and deal with any complaints or enquiries made by you;

4.2.6 prevent fraud and maintain the security of our systems; and
4.2.7 contact you for marketing purposes where you have signed up for these (see section 5).
4.3 Where we rely on consent (for example, for certain marketing communications), you may withdraw that
consent at any time (see section 12).
5. Marketing
5.1 Where you have indicated that you would like to receive marketing correspondence, have purchased our products or services, or have subscribed to our mailing lists, we may use your personal data to provide you with details about our goods and services, and those of recommended third-party providers, which we think may be of interest to you.
5.2 You have the right to opt out of receiving marketing at any time. To opt out, you can:
5.2.1 untick or tick the relevant box on the form on which we collect your information; 5.2.2 click the unsubscribe link contained in any marketing communication you receive; or 5.2.3 email us at help@fuzzball.club providing your name and contact details.
5.3 Where you have subscribed to marketing, we will keep your personal data for as long as you have consented to receiving it. Where you unsubscribe, we will stop marketing to you, though you may continue to receive messages for a short period until our systems are updated. We may retain a record of your details on a suppression list, in anonymised or minimal form, so that we do not contact you again, for our legitimate interest in honouring your preferences.
6. Monitoring and recording
6.1 We may monitor and record communications with you (such as telephone calls and emails) for the purpose of quality assurance, training, fraud prevention and compliance.
7. Automated decision-making
7.1 We do not carry out automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you. Where we use a food-plan algorithm to recommend products based on the information you provide about your cat, this supports our service and does not make decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
8. Disclosure of personal data to third parties
8.1 In addition to the third parties mentioned above, we may disclose your information to the following categories of recipient for our legitimate interests or to perform our contract with you:
8.1.1 our staff members, in order to facilitate the provision of goods or services to you;
8.1.2 our affiliated entities, to support internal administration;
8.1.3 IT and software providers that host our Site and store data on our behalf;
8.1.4 professional advisers, including consultants, lawyers, bankers, insurers and accountants who provide us with related services;
8.1.5 HMRevenue&Customs,regulatorsandotherauthoritiesthatrequirereportingofprocessingactivitiesin certain circumstances;

8.1.6 thirdpartieswhichoffergoodsorserviceswethinkmaybeofinteresttoyou,whereyouhaveconsented; and
8.1.7 actualorprospectivebuyersorsellersintheeventthatwesell,transferormergepartsofourbusinessor assets, or acquire or merge with other businesses. Any new owners may use your personal data in the same way as set out in this policy.
8.2 We may disclose personal data to the police, regulatory bodies, legal advisers or similar third parties where we are under a legal duty to do so, in order to enforce our website terms and conditions and other agreements, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers or others. This includes exchanging information with other organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
8.3 We will not sell or distribute your personal data to other organisations for their own marketing purposes without your consent.
9. International transfers
9.1 Some of our suppliers and service providers may process personal data outside the United Kingdom. Where we transfer personal data outside the UK, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection, for example by transferring only to countries that the UK Government has determined provide adequate protection, or by putting in place appropriate safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA), the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or equivalent approved mechanisms.

10. Data security
10.1 Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password that enables you to access certain parts of our Site, you are responsible for keeping that password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.
10.2 Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to our Site, and any transmission is at your own risk.
10.3 Information you provide to us is held on secure servers. We have implemented appropriate physical, technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information against accidental loss and unauthorised access, use, alteration or disclosure. We also limit access to personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a legitimate business need for such access.
11. How long we keep your personal data
11.1 We will retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including to provide you with the goods or services you have ordered and to satisfy any legal, accounting or reporting requirements.
11.2 Ingeneral:
11.2.1 customer and order information is retained for the duration of your relationship with us and for a period
of five years afterwards;
11.2.2 records required for accounting and tax purposes are retained for at least six years, in line with legal requirements;

11.2.3 marketing preferences are retained as described in section 5; and
11.2.4 correspondence and complaint records are retained for as long as necessary to handle the matter and to
comply with our legal obligations.
11.3 When personal data is no longer required, we will securely delete or anonymise it.
12. Your rights
12.1 It is important that the personal data we hold about you is accurate and current. Please keep us informed if your personal data changes.
12.2 Under data protection legislation, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
12.2.1 therighttobeinformedabouthowweuseyourpersonaldata;
12.2.2 the right to access the personal data we hold about you and to receive it in an intelligible form;
12.2.3 the right to request that we update or correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
12.2.4 the right to request that we erase your personal data in certain circumstances (the “right to be forgotten”);
12.2.5 the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances; 12.2.6 the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to object to direct marketing at
any time;
12.2.7 the right to data portability — to receive your personal data in a commonly used, machine-readable format and have it transferred to another controller; and
12.2.8 the right to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent to process your personal data.
12.3 To exercise any of these rights, please email our Data Protection Lead at help@fuzzball.club, specifying your name and the action you would like us to take. Access to your personal data (a subject access request) is provided free of charge, although we may charge a reasonable fee, or refuse to comply, where a request is manifestly unfounded, excessive or repetitive.
12.4 We may request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and your right to access, and to provide you with the personal data we hold or make your requested changes. We aim to respond to all legitimate requests within one month; occasionally it may take longer if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests, in which case we will notify you. Data protection legislation may allow or require us to refuse to provide you with access to some or all of the personal data we hold, or to decline a request; if so, we will inform you of the reasons, subject to any legal or regulatory restrictions.
13. If you fail to provide personal data
13.1 Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you, and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you (for example, to provide you with our goods). In that case, we may have to cancel an order you have placed with us, but we will notify you if this is the case at the time.
14. Changes to this privacy policy
14.1 We reserve the right to update this privacy policy at any time, and any changes we make will be posted on this page. Please check periodically for updates. If we intend to use your previously collected personal data for purposes other than those we notified you of at the time of collection, we will provide you with notice and, where

required by law, seek your consent before doing so. We may process your personal data without your knowledge or consent where required or permitted by applicable law or regulation.

15.2 You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues, at any time. We would, however, appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns before you approach the ICO, so please contact us in the first instance.
